The idea behind the monad or a “ground of being” is that it is a necessary being, it doesnt “come from” anything – it just is.

I can understand how that is an unsatisfactory answer – but here is something to think about:

1. The other main alternative is infinite regress, where there is no distinct source – just an infinite chain of sequence/causation – this them begs the question, what starts this chain of events?

The concept of a monad or equivalent answers the question of what begins the chain of causality, whereas the infinite regress answers neither “why does anything exist”? Or “what starts causation”?

So really, the only unanswered question left with the monad, and it being “necessary for existence/it just being”, is why is that possible/how?

While there is no definitive answer for this, based on logical deduction, we can conclude that even if we cant epistemologically, with 100% certainty, ascertain that the ground of reality can be traced to one being or substrate, we can conclude that existence itself IS a necessary reality or function.

– If you take away all of existence, all forms and appearances, all potential – you are left with “nothing”.

If nothing existed BEFORE existence, then by definition it could not produce existence – nothing would contain potential to spawn existence, and this would not be absolute nothing.

Therefore, a monad, or discreet, “ground of being” 1. Answers/solves the question of a chain of causation 2. Its necessity is not contradicted, based on self evidence via logical deduction.

So, while reality may not necessarily be “one thing”, “one thing” i.e monad, being the base of reality is more satisfactory, due to it resolving more unanswered questions.

Now, when it comes to YHWH vs Monad?

My stance is the God of the Bible is BOTH.. and kabbalah/Cabala (christian Kabbalah) gets this right.

YHWH is the function of the ultimate, transcendent into immanence – into layered tiers of interpretating planes.

YHWH is the immanent aspect of the transcendent; the means in which God differentiates our reality and realities above and below, the four worlds of fire, air, water and earth – in which he allows for a reconciling/marriage of cyclically, which is “The Garden”, the attainment of Adam Kadmon and perfect union.. the “Golden Age”, where gods transcendence is known and directly communed via the individual soul.

This is what Christ does, and what Christ is a full embodiment of – the man who yields the key to this marriage of transcendence and brings the Golden Age.

YHWH is Saturnian/Conflated with saturn, because YHWH is the function of the Transcendent, that differentiates and reunites, cyclically.
